Black Monologues

Description:
While primarily a student spoken word performance, Black Monologues is designed to give students, staff, and faculty an opportunity to share their stories through the performance of original monologues, while educating the broader campus community on institutional issues and experiences affecting Africa-descended members of the University of Maryland community. The program will give audience members an opportunity to think critically and challenge their individual biases, while stimulating important dialogue surrounding critical issues of identity, equity, retention, and social justice. {Will appear in FYI on Feb 12, 2014
