The March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom by Gwendolyn Briley-Strand

Fifty years ago, a massive march in late August focused the national attention and inspired a movement that changed America. Using stories, historical photographs, and song, actor Gwendolyn Briley-Strand brings this significant period in civil rights history to life. Her narrative takes us there before and far beyond the closing speech. Sponsored by the University's Department of Residential Facilities and the Maryland Humanities Council, this special event celebrates Black History Month on campus.
