A New Pattern: Sew Your Own Clothes to Fit YOU

Clothes manufacturers define what you find in the stores. You define what you really want to wear and how that expresses your identity. "A New Pattern: sew your own clothes to fit YOU" helps you dress as you define yourself. If you're frustrated by having to fit someone else's idea of how you should dress, come and learn how to tailor your own garments that fit your sense of style and vision of self. So if you're genderqueer, trans*, someone who cross-dresses, or a drag king or queen, don't bother with an industry's vision of how to dress, join us to make your own vision a reality. There will be sewing sessions on February 24th, March 10, and April 7th, as well as a dialogue event on Monday, April 21, all from 6:00PM-8:00PM. *** Bring clothes you want to hand on to someone else to the event, or drop them in the MICA office if you can't make it to any of the sessions. You never know who might fall in love with something and give it a new lease of life! {Will appear in FYI on Feb 19, 2014
