Preparing for Multiculturalism and the Global Community: The Peace Corps Experience

Congressman John Garamendi (CA-3) will share his experiences as a Peace Corps volunteer, and how their model of training helps prepare people to work in an increasingly multicultural society and global community. He will be joined by Peace Corps Associate Director for the Office of Volunteer Recruitment and Selection, Helen A. Lowman as well as a panel of returned Peace Corps volunteers who will share their own personal stories, focusing on lessons learned from working in community overseas and how that experience translated into working in an increasingly global society. {Will appear in FYI on Feb 21, 2014
