JPSM’s Annual Distinguished Lecture will be April 25, 2014

Description:
Sarah Nusser, Ph.D. Professor, Department of Statistics and Vice President of Research, Iowa State University, will discuss how the distributions of usual physical activity and dietary intake data are useful in monitoring the health of population groups. Although methods to collect and adjust for measurement error have been carefully developed for dietary intake recalls, until recently, methodologies appropriate for physical activity recall data have received limited attention. In this talk, she will provide an overview of these issues and the survey methods she used to surmount some of those problems. She will also offer a brief overview of other groups’ research.
