Wild Edible Plant ID Tour and Seminar TONIGHT

Remember that time you decided to go all "Into the Wild," and then you remembered how that story ended? Come learn how to safely identify wild edible plants with professional forager Eric Kelly of Charm City Farms and Foragers of Baltimore! First, join in a 50-minute plant ID walking tour of campus starting at 5:00 PM. Second, Eric will give a more in-depth presentation on foraging wild edible plants starting at 6:00 PM. He will cover local seasonal plants in various habitats (including forest edge, fields, riparian zones, and woodland species) and give major detail on the more common "weed" plants, explaining what they are doing in a landscape other than being unsightly. Meet in front of Jull Hall by the tulips for the walking tour at 5:00 pm; reconvene in Jull Hall 1123 for the seminar at 6:00 pm Facebook Event: {Will appear in FYI on May 6, 2014
