European and Muslim Dimensions of the New Anti-Semitism
Description:
Robert Wistrich holds the Neuberger chair for Modern European History at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and is head of its Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism where he edits its journal, Antisemitism International.
His forthcoming book, A Lethal Obsession, is a sweeping historical synthesis that examines radical antisemitism especially in the 19th and 20th centuries in Europe, as well as in its diffusion in the modern Middle East and Iran. His many publications also include The Jews of Vienna in the Age of Franz Joseph (OUP, 1989) which won the Austrian State Prize for Danubian History and Antisemitism, the Longest Hatred (Pantheon, 1992).
